MIP in Utah?

So, I got a ticket for a MIP (minor in possession) on Saturday. The cop who gave it to me said I'd probably have to pay a $300 fine, maybe some community service. Just wondering if anyone else has experience with this stuff?
 
haha 414 U St on Sat night, yeah those cops were complete dicks, one guy looked like he was in riot gear. Me and My homie left no problem though, walked out got the flashlight shone on us and headed away. There were a shit ton of people there.
 
Yes they were huge dicks, had like 10 kids sitting on the curb, hand cuffed this dude i knew who wasn't even at the party he just walked over (from his house he lived in about 3 down) asking what was going on, held him for like 20 mins for no reason then let him go.

This isn't as bad but i was rolling out had a fat cup of whiskey and coke and they're like "is there alcohol in that?" and in my drunken stooper i said "uhh yeah?" im at a party of course there is. hes liek "Pour it out right now!" and i was still on private property so i said "im 21, can i just chug some then pour it out?" and he got in my face with his flashlight and was like "POUR IT OUT". luckly, even while being extreme intoxicated, i decided to pour it out and avoid a drunk in public ticket.

b-ladd im guessing it was your house correct? and ive heard a couple different stories about MIPs in utah(90% due to being the people who live at the house the party was at) it all depends on the section of the valley. Since you were in the university area, im guessing it'll just be that fine and some community service, if you got priors they might tack on an alcohol class and more service time/more fine.
 
Yeah, the party was at my house, and its my first offense. That's good to hear, I had heard some stuff about losing your license until you turn 21.
 
Nah dude you'll be straight, the actually slc/university area is way more relaxed than most other areas, at least from what ive seen. I had some homies who had a party (almost two years ago, wow) and a couple of them got tickets, they just had fines and community service.
 
my friend got his license suspended for a year from a busted party in st. george. but that is st. george.
 
All you know about this party is that the cops came, there were at least 20 people there, someone else lives down the street, MIPs were distributed, and eheath was there drinking whiskey and coke... baaadddaassssssss

You haven't even heard any evidence of a single girl, dance party, keg, loud music, or any of the other criteria for a badass party. For all we know 20 dudes and eheath were circle jerking in the front yard while getting hammered and a homophobic neighbor called it in.

But you basically nailed it on the head, but add zilla and hackett yelling and pouring beer and cheap gin everywhere, which the occasional freeze pop being tossed/spilled everywhere. And tim flipping the table. So like you said, circle jerk, 20 dudes and me.
