and 1, you don't have to be a fan of swimming to be a fan of michael phelps

and 2, swimming is NOT gay. it's one of the most demanding sports out there dude. i'm a swimmer and i have never worked as hard in any sport as i have when i'm in the pool [yes that includes skiing too]
 
Skiing is a bad one to include because the skiing most of NS does doesn't really involve a ton of athleticism (using a chairlift etc.).

Because he is a role model. Sure, tons of people smoke weed, both young and old. When you are an athlete that has an image to uphold though, it is retarded of him to do get photographed doing something ILLEGAL, regardless of how harmless it may seem.
Its gonna be funny though when his argument against IOC is that there is no way in hell it is performance enhancing.
 
he's not dumb, the only reason he's apologizing is to keep his sponsors. Let him milk his bullshit sponsors for as long he can. Then he can retire and use all that money to buy more RooR bongs. NORML should consider sponsoring him.

naw, just check the yahoo frontpage. Almost all of his sponsors are sticking by him. So what if he loses bullshit like Rosetta stone and Kelloggs, he's still michael phelps.

 
as the person above me says it was back in 04. He was nineteen years old. If hes so worried about his sponsors why did he admit to it being weed. Why didnt he just say its tobacco. But props to him for both the DUI and this.
