Okay so here's my rant:
I am a HUGE fan of Stella, seen every episode 20 times, seen the behind the scenes, watched all the episodes with commentary, watched their original Stella skits from back in the day, have seen all of their stand up, watched many an episode of the State, seen Wet Hot American Summer, yadda yadda.
This show blows. Period. In comparison, this show is shit when put against their original stuff, which i recall was also shown on Comedy Central which rules out the possible conclusion that they had to dumb it down for television. The actual running plot in each episode is funny, i'll give you that, but everything else is horrendous. It's like they are trying to copy Demetri Martin (don't even get me started on that show, i can't believe it lasted more than a pilot episode), and it completely ruins everything i ever liked about Michael Ian Black and Showalter. Seriously, these guys need to take a step back and realize they are 1000000 times funnier than they are portrayed in this lame television show. Bring back David Wain, stop doing stupid skits that aren't funny, stop performing in front of a live audience to resemble other comedy central shows (i.e. Chapelle's show, Demetri Martin, Tosh.0), and fucking go back to talking about dildos, swearing, and doing hilarious sketch comedy that is actually bearable to watch.

I thought it was alright, but not amazing. 6/10
Sort of the same way i feel about Demetri Martin. Some of his skits are really funny, but his stand up is way better.
