i realize that this could go in the media section but i figured you all might catch it more here...

so anyways...what mouse do you use with your apple or what do you recommend? i just got a new powerbook and i need to get a mouse to use at school. i know that apple has it's own wireless model (and i want to use wireless i think) so what's your take on the apple wireless also? is a two click/button mouse the way to go, with a scroll wheel...or should i just stick with apple and get used to it? hit me with whatever feedback, i'd appreciate it...lates

 
I have the wireless bluetooth one... it's pretty nice, sometimes I wish I had a scroll wheel on it but usually I just use the arrow keys instead. It's a good mouse otherwise- great battery life and well built.

But if you're going to be gaming (halo, UT, etc.) don't get it. It's worthless for that stuff... the only reason I went for the apple model is that I already have my 'weapon' which is a 5-button microsoft optical... also a great mouse.

Also, I have the 15 inch powerbook... which one did you get?

i got the 12inch...80 gig...512 RAM...real smooth so far, i like it a lot and just have some adjusting and learning to do...

i don't game much at all on my comps...i just want something that is convenient...good for the internet and documents and stuff, something good for school.....haha, that mouse of yours sounds like a beast, nice

 
yeah, if you just want something you can slip in your case/backpack/whatever and use anywhere, you can't beat the apple wireless one- there isn't even a base station for it since the bluetooth is built into the laptop.

no man, go with the logitech mx-900, i got it when i got my 15 inch PBook, and it is awesome. It has a dock which charges the battery and makes it so if you want you can use it on any computer, and most the time just pull it out and walk away, it automatically links up with the bluetooth on the mac. it has two main big buttons, up/down scroll thumb buttons, and small third button on top, and a scroll whell that tilts side to side as well as up/down for scrolling when the huge pics get posted that strecth the screen. its nice, i love it. it's batteries are rechargable, and the longest lasting on the market. can't be beat.

the apple mouse sucks major ass and its wireless model if fuckin $60 for a one button mouse. i use a wireless optical mouse with a scroll wheel, side scroll right and left click and 2 side buttons on my mac

get the invi-mouse, it has 4 buttons and 2 scroll wheels

yeah id say done get the apple bluetooth mouse...really expensive and battery life for the mouse itself is pretty haggard

id say stick with non wireless, and get a trackball...i have a kensington trackball 4 button mouse with built in scroll wheel for like 80 bucks...really good deal and really well designed

i build pc's so im not a big mac user sometimes for my college major... but i have logitech mice and they are the best in my book... and they are all mac and pc compatiable they are very highquality and durable... wireless ones tho get pricey... check ebay they have good deals on logitech mice and stuff

we JUST got a microsoft wireless optical mouse for our mac and it KICKS ASS! we got it for $40 from office max. it has a side scroll thingey that is part of the scroll button. you just push the scroll but sideways and you cAn set it to go forlawd or back on your browser when you do that. also, if you click down on the scrool wheel, you can set that to use expose! it is awsome. no more reaching for the 'f' keys anymore for expose.
