I decided today that i am going to go to Miami next year and im t seeing if there's any NSers there who can shed some light on what the skiings like if any, and what the place is like in general.Thanks

first off why the hell do you want to go to miami? bunch of my friends go there, and they have been turned into tools (for the most part).

second, yes there is skiing but its not exactly close. check out Mad River dope ass hill near colombus.
 
ull be about an hour from perfect north slopes, pretty sick place, park is always super legit. madriver is incredible also but ull be about 2 hours from there. definitly worth making a few trips for that tho, their park is insane. really both of those parks are probably in the top 5 in the midwest and easily the two best within 6 hours
 
Best thing you can do now is back out of going to Miami and be a Buckeye. Then you can ski at Mad River all winter. It will be the best choice you will ever make.
 
well up untill 3 weeks ago i too was going to miami. butttttt i had a last minute change of heart, and i canceled my depost and im now going to colorado state university, where theres skinig actually worth the time! there is perfect north slopes exactly an hour from miami. its a very easy straight shot down I-75 right over the border of indiana, and pns is super legit for midwest skiing. they had about a 50' but huuuuuge step down for there spring session this year that a bunch of kids were doin dubs over. watch chris laker's edits. all his shots are from there.
 
hell yeah! i moved to utah this past winter and am going to the university of utah...so worth it the only bad thing about going to CU is i heard it's crazy expensive and it's about 2 hours aways from any legit resorts...but i mean it's still co and that's not a bad drive for the weekends if you have a place to crash in the mtns..

to the thread creator...even contemplating miami....common..common
 
yea im pretty stoked , it actually ended up being about instate tuition to go there with scholarships and grants. and the drive can suck sometimes i hear, but i have a cousin with a place right at the base of keystone so its not all bad.

and brad sorry about the delay about getting those shots to you. i have to wait to get a laptop now
