Yeah so the methven big air is on the 24th of September. I might be competing which would be sick, i just need to confirm my invite or something.

Is anyone planning on going to watch or compete, Sam? are you heading there.

I'm heading to snowpark after the comp so if someone is heading thataway from methven the next day it would be sick if i could tag along. Methven Big Air is going to be sick this year.

Well aparently people will be selected from their previous results or something like that. I have a preregistration sheet thingy for the big air, i can email it to anyone who wants it.

we select regs from people with comp experiance and who have had good results, also from what tricks they can throw, if you lie we will know and you wont last very long.

I probably shouldn't say this but at the moment the Big Air is kinda in the air depending on what the conditions are like at Mt.Hutt cause they suck and Hutt wont last much longer. The Big air commitee is meeting tonight to make the decsion.

Another reminder to everyone we want this to be a high calibure event so if you can only throw a 3 don't bother trying, work on your tricks and try for another year.

yeah i'm super keen to compete aye. this would be my one big comp of the year... totally keen to throw down and show up some of the regulars that always get the limelight. heheh

but i'm planning on cork 7 as safety trick, cork 9 second safety trick....

then the big guns, switch 7s, maybe 1080 or switch 9, it all depends on how many runs, how good the jump is, if i am feelin it

just so you know Mark the jump is real small, like 25 feet, even a 7 looks hucked, a 9 or a 10 would be extremly hucked like spin to win kinda steez

I still havent heard back from the pre-registration thing.... I need to hear back soon so a re-book my flights..

they are making the call about the Big Air on Friday the 16th, there were worries that if Mt.Hutt was closed the big air wouldn't go ahead, from what ive heard though is that the organizers of the winter fest are trying to have the big air run even if the mountain was closed, i think it will go ahead but don't quote me on that. Personally i don't think Mt.Hutt will make it longer than this coming sunday. As for me though im outa here fly back to Canada tonight, not the greatest season but i still had a ton of fun and I can't wait to come back next year, if any of you come up to the Interior of BC give me a shout

Ill be mostly in the interior in Kamloops skiing at Sun Peaks and doing missions to Whistler and Kicking Horse

i probably wont enter, the most i could do is maybe 540 or 7 or something. maybe a misty. but ive never competed so ill just cheer the skiiers on and get real drunk.

I just got an email from the organizers....

Its cancelled. They didn't want a half assed comp which it was going to be because of lack of snow...

Fucking gay.

well its snowing up at mount hutt nw and theres a heavy snow warining though out canterbury does any one reacon theres a chance of it being back on????
