Hey,

It's not out of control. What happens is when people login their user info is added to a online list on the server. This online list is used to generate the online list you see on the left.

When a user registers and doesn't have a profile they will appear right at the bottom of the list. If they add a profile, they will get a star beside their name, but their profile setting isn't updated in the online list, so they still appear at the bottom of the list, but with the profile star (*).

I'll fix this once I re-do the profile updating.

that made sense...no profile, no star, bottom of the online list. but u lost me on the guys that have stars and are at the bottom

I think those people at the bottom with Stars are people who made their profile since they have been logged in. Like, when they logged into the site they didnt have a profile, and since they have been surfin' around NS they made a profile but the list hasnt updated them yet. I bet if they log off and back on it would show up.
