If the original message was included when someone replies to you, that would make shit alot easier. alot of times I'll send someone a message, and they'll reply a couple days later with "yes" and I'll have no idea what they're talking about. But i'm too lazy to check my message logs

It is literally less then an inch above the actual message... and it shows you whole history (within 365 days) .

I wouldn't change anything, i think if it showed the previous message it would be to cluttered and confusing. I'd leave it how it is.
