Meier skis???

So I went to the pray for snow festival thing at REI last week, and I won a pair of Meier skis!!! I'm stoked out of my mind, and just picked up a pair of Fat Johhnys today. 108 symmetrical beasts and I'm absolutely pumped. I've never heard of them, and I love everything they stand for as a company, locally made with colorado aspen and beetle kill pine, but I know literally nothing about them. Anyone know how they ski? Durability? Anyone ever even see a pair on the mountain before??

Pass there factory driving to work everyday on the highway in Denver. Demo'd a couple pairs at abay last year and they were fun. Seems like a solid indie company...expensive though
