What are your stories with pros? This thread is probably a repost but ill start:

Im walking down the lakewalk (Duluth, MN) and I see some guys hitting this crazy rail. It was a 3 foot high rail on a 10-11 foot high bridge into a wallride. Naturally I go and see who it is. Cam. Riley. They were filming for Mutiny but unfortunately this shot never made it into the movie.
 
skied with andy parry during tell a friend tour. he is a pretty normal guy. likes cats a lot.

haha reminds me how i swerved to avoid hitting cam and shea when i was biking to class today. meeting pros really isnt that big of a deal, they are just people who happen to be really fuckin good at skiing
 
I gave Steve Stepp a beer one night at IF3 while he was waiting outside in some sketch hobo camp looking place.

I met Andy party on gaper day at PC. Asked for a hug and got rejected the got a hand sake at pictures. I shit you not my fly zipper broke from the excitement of seeing the greatest man of earth.

I went to Mt Snow in January with two of my friends and it was raining a ton when we arrived, so we hiked the big tube at the bottom of the hill. To our surprise, the TC Van shows up in the parking and they came to hike the tube. Got to talk with Ian and Will, definitely some cool dudes! My buddy told me that Cole took off his flannel and he was quite a smelly dude
 
On Gaper day at Timberline (also WCS public day) I rode up the lift with Will Wesson and Giray Dadali. About halfway up the lift I turn to them in full gape and asked "Do you guys know how to backflip?" They looked at each other and tried to stifle their laughs, and then looked back and replied "yeah." I asked them for advice on backflips and they gave me some tips, it was also a super foggy day so they were basically trying to convince me not to try it yet. As we were passing the parks I pointed over to the large jumps and said "I think I'm gonna try it on those jumps." Will immediately tried to talk me out of it in a sort of friendly way.

As we were about to get off the chair I look over at them and said "Im just fuckin with you guys, I'm the best skier on the mountain." and then proceeded to ski away and do some sick spread eagles.
 
I was once in a lift line at perisher and Russ Henshaw was behind me and was like hey nice jacket(I own his jacket), so i turend around and saw it was him and freaked out cause and was like ahhhh thats the joke cause this is your pro model jacket probably making a huge ass out of myself and so I ask for a photo and a semi pro (Boen Ferguson) took the photo and I was just thinking like fuck I probably just offended that guys feelings. whoops
 
Last autumn I helped Shaun White to catch some speed on the flat way of the stubai glacier snowpark where is damn hard to keep going, so I pushed him with my pole. He said "thanks a lot dawg", but then I was kinda upset about helping that ginger cunt...

Rode the lift with ian compton didnt realize it till after, I have met a lot of pros at the Dumont Cup the tip i will give is look for the people who arnt really HUGE names like Tom Wallich

Who is Tom Wallich?
 
Skied with Todd Ligare, Johnny Collinson, and Ian Mac in Jackson Hole sidecountry this year. Not the typical NS pros, but it was an insane experience. Seeing this guys ski lines is so much more impressive live.
 
Shred with Chris Laker and occasionally Nick Goepper on our home hill in tha Burg. Some good dudes to share a chairlift with
 
Dumont Cup at SR. Rode up the lift with Robby Franco. Told me he skied for Head. I told him I did too.

We had a nice chuckle, great guy.
 
Met Sean Pettit and David Wise in La Plagne France, bought Pettit a jagerbomb and then ended up in a a little dance off circle thing. He then promptly disappeared with a hottie that'd been following him round all night.
 
skied with dane tudor and russ henshaw at one hit wonder a few years ago, Dane was super chill and just a top bloke! still talk to him occasionally. Russ was reasonalbly nice, but just didnt seem to have time for anyone. although to be fair, we was competing
 
Years ago a really strange dude singing some weird song stood next to me, turned out to be Jossi Wells but I was too big of a gaper to recognize him

Also saw him and Byron go really fast from the chairlift, then they left the park and went on to AFO I believe
 
I skied with Bobby Brown for a day. Really nice dude. Before he left he gave me some headphones that he was wearing.

Was walking in Breck and saw Woodsy with his super hot girlfriend get out of cab. Got a pic with him after his girlfriend took a couple selfies on my phone before she figured out my phone. Saw him 7 different times on a 7 day trip.

Skied a gaper day train with Trevor Jansen in breck. Took a tip cosack to flat.

My friend and i thought we saw Bobby Brown from the lift. He was just fucking around and doing super simple stuff so we thought he was just a poser. but then he put up an insta edit that night. We felt retarded
 
My friend ran into a good chunk of the 4bi9 crew eating at a St. Paul Leann Chins two months back when they were filming urban.
 
Also, I was eating some food at my airport gate and noticed Sammy Carlson sitting 10 feet to the right of me. Started watching on the top of hood on my computer, i could see him getting a kick out of it but he didn't say anything.
 
I was at hylands and I saw Phil Casabon and Henrik Harluat skiing and I said something like nice dread and he gave me the finger. I didnt know who they were then so I asked someone who are they and he said phil casabon but he was mumbling so for a lond time I thought his name was phil cinnabon
 
I met Mcrae williams at cannons this one time when i was like 14. skied with him for a run didn't even know who he was. Super nice guy! Didn't figure out it was a pro till he hit the big jump line a sent a huge switch backflip his first hit haha
 
Known Woodsy for a while through the British ski scene, He was talking to henrick at the freeze fest in london two years ago, my dad and I went over said hey to woodsy and my dad introduced me to henrick. well played dad.

Also ended up lapping the DC Park in Meribel the same speed as Candide one day this season. I was lapping the chair and he was taking the sled up, getting 2 hits of the big line to my one. Soundest guy Iv met, super happy to have a chat, talking about his plans, what hes been doing, new skis, what he was working on that day all that shit.

Also met Torstien Horgmo in DC later that season, less sound, smoothest style in the game though.
 
Few years back at Hood rode up the lift with Sammy, TJ and B-Dog

1. Didn't know who B-Dog was

2. Sammy made a sex joke about the Middlesex Ski Team coats in front of us

3. Sammy tried a backflip off a little side booter and took it right to his dome, laughed off what looked like a concussion
 
Met a bunch at COC, never any outside of that though.

What I thought was super interesting was when I was talking to Andy on the tbar about what it was like for him to meet a pro he had looked up to since he was younger. He said he met Candide in a bar, and Candide was just drunk as hell. Probably would make anyone a little dejected to meet a pro you think is some kind of deity, and you figure out he is just a normal guy

We forget our favorite pros have favorite pros. Probably goes back to the beginning of skiing when some braj thought Ullr had the raddest seggy's
 
Two years ago at a Poor Boyz premier in Seattle I asked bobby brown if I could be on Bobby's life. He said I could and then told him my name was boner. I think it's around 6:40 in episode 18 of Bobby's life

Skied with dollo brig and bpaul during the inspired demo tour.

Everybody was just so damn stoked on skiing and life. It was awesome. Phil and Paul went in early but Henrik stayed out in the park until close trying to dial this trick he was trying all night. Just shows you how much the guy loves skiing, he never wanted to go in
