Mcrae williams Triple Cork!!!! and others at JOI!

I honestly like McRea's more than Russ's for some reason...but I'm pretty sure Bobby's still wins the style factor out of all of the so far.

they're still learning them. give em some time to clean them up. same thing happened with doubles

ya except you can do a double off a 50 foot jump no problem, but you need at least a 100 footer to do a hucked triple, just way to much spinning if you ask me, they are just dipping into the 3 cork by the time they are at the knuckle, and sending it all they down the landing, and still it looks like they are forcing the spin trying to get it around in time, you might be right, or a body just cannot spin that fast in that small amount of time

people have been doing dubs for several years now. obviously they are more comfy with them, thus able to throw them on smaller jumps. and like i said before, they're still learning

Pretty cool for basically the first attempts at triples. They'll get refined, people need to stop bitching about how they look forced.

You're dumb. Do all of you haters just expect skiing to just stop progressing? Where the hell else do you expect it to go? Everything else has pretty much been done. All rotations, dubs, with all grabs and so many different styles, have all been attained. There is not a whole ton of new shit left, we have to be honest with ourselves about that. Suck it up and embrace the triple.

nice to see the other triples, they weren't really hucked that hard as i expected. It also looks like there is barely any snow in are this year(compared to previous years)

Forced is the dumbest word in the history of freeskiing. The sport involves hitting 100 foot plus jumps and spinning and flipping. Of course things looked forced, thats not exactly strolling down the street. This whole idea that the only way to do things is to look like your asleep is insanity

EVERY SINGLE PERSON who says their tricks don't look good, go step in front of a buss. if YOU can do it better, then you can complain. but since pretty much all of you will never do more than some pussy 360 off a 20 ft roller jump, stfu and admit how insanely good they are (and insanely better than you (and me)) at skiing. queers.

thats just plain stupid. there is a huge difference between a pin strait triple with several twists and a grabbed and styled out triple

Although shit like this generally gets deleted, I'm leaving this up to make an example out of you: NO HOMOPHOBIC SLURS.

Also, people are allowed to have opinions on things whether they can do them or not. One isn't required to like something simply because they can't do it.

Stop whining.

Personally, I'm stoked for McCrae and think the trips look sick.

Going back to the "I'd rather see a big steezy 5" argument - I think that the bigger spins don't leave much room for individual style, seems like it has to be so calculated that there's not as much variety in the way people do dubs (and certainly in the future trips) compared to the amount of variety you see in smaller, slower rotations.

I don't think it's a bad thing, I just think it's different.

hell yeah im stoked a lesser known kid sent one. not a fan of trips, but usually it takes a while before someone rallys that shit. big ups mcrea!

i think theres alot potential for variation in trips, since theres so many more cork combos, like cork 7 to dub flat from bobby in comparisn to that of mcrae. but i might be wrong. anyways, stoked for the triples.

you just have to spin so fast for a trip, people do dubs off 40 foot

jumps (ex. chris laker, nine knights entry), it seems like you should be

able to do a triple no problem off a 100+ jump with ease because you

have a double the air time vs a 40 or 50 footer (correct if wrong), but

that doesnt seem the case, prly until less than a year maybe more

someone will get a trip dialed in and hopefully make it look stylish

After watching again, whats his name that did the 1800, that was the most legit triple cork, cork 7 cork 5 sw cork 5. Im stoked to see him land that.

Exactly what I was thinking. It's great to FINALLY see a "true" triple cork in any discipline, whether it be skiing or snowboarding. While others are borderline, there really can be no disputing that it was as true a triple cork as anyone's thrown. I guess that's what you get for going bigger on spins -- the off-axis rotation mellows out over a longer radial spin.

i think that triple 18 will be such a gnarly trick, doubles are so much more melow and nicer to see..

im suprised people are stoked on this shit...its fuckin whack

not totally, it takes time to be smooth and stylish. it will be boring if no tricks will be made...

Are you kidding me? You guys are whining that it looks forced. Think about this. You are being picky about triples. A trick we have wanted to see on ski's in a contest for years. It finally happens and some of you start complaining about the style factor. That's just absurd! Triple(s) were thrown! I'm more stoked that I have been in a while and you should be to. They will clean them up, but for now it finally happened!
