McDonalds workers

my friends and i always prank call mcdonalds. we pretend we are like high level employees doing a survey and trol lthe fuck out of them

I was too good for McDonalds. Seriously, they wouldn't employ me, and then a really posh bar employed me.

I WANTED FREE BIGMACS GODDAMN IT

When my mom first came to this country from the Philippines (btw, she is a college graduate), her first job was at Mcdonalds till she could find a better job. Even though my mom only worked there for a week, she said it was the funnest job she's had. She said her employee's were cool and it was easy, everything is run on timers.

...people here are probably gonna give you shit for considering work there, but there is no shame in honest work. Go for it, make money!

I used to work for their marketing team. That was fun, never had to work in the store but marketing events were awful. The people that enjoy regularly McDonalds are fucking retarded.

It's an honest days work for an honest days pay. Anyone that gives you shit for working somewhere typically doesn't have a job so fuck EM. Stack that paper, boo boo.

With all due respect, I dont think i could ever work at McDonalds. It just looks so horrible.

this.

the people who work the hardest jobs early on, end up the furthest on. you learn how much effort you have to put in to be successful instead.

Never worked there but I remember seeing online at some point that McDonalds is apparently one of the best employers.

its a 20 billion dollar, fortune 500 company that has 30,000 businesses all over the world, and a costumer base of 68 million people every day.

Thats a pretty reliable job. You don't get companies to work for that are that stable

I work at A&W, and it's seriously the chillest job ever. It's never busy, so I just sit in the basement on my phone. And I'm a cashier so all I do is take orders and give out food.

i worked there for 3 months and didnt dislike it at all, sure its not the funnest, all jobs arnt, but the crew was super laid back, cept for the higher ones.

anyway yah, it was sweet

I dont mind mcdonalds at all 2 months in. The whole crew is chill and the managers are good if your on teir good side. And stop bitching about the 3 threads it was obviously an accident.

working next to 600 degree oil all day doesn't seem fun to me, in addition to having to deal with hundreds of customers a day.

That being said, I have never worked at a food establishment. I have worked as a landscaper, a camp counselor, a stable boy, and in a table factory. All have been pain in the ass jobs, and made me realize I have almost no respect for people who are lifeguards, car valets, etc

my best friend works there, he has a hate love relationship with it..his coworkers and such are awesome as well as the pay(for HS) but his schedule sucks and his boss is an abusive fat black woman

I've been working at McDonald's for 6 months and I really like it. There aren't many jobs better for a high school kid working part time. All of the people I work with are pretty cool too

mcdonalds probably rules to work for. good pay and benefits.

all you fuckin 99% bums that cant find jobs, i know like 10 fast food joins hiring around me.. oh you can sit and drink your starbucks on your macbook at work :( too bad.

out of highschool I worked at a KFC/Pizza Hut for a few months. Compared to a real kitchen at a real restaurant where you actually have to make real food, fast food is a joke of a job. Everything is on timers, there's no real cooking involved, the interaction with the customer is minimal and easy.

Hell, working at a 711 gave me more of a challenge than fast food did. Granted, it was the Whistler 711 working the graveyard shift, so when all the bars emptied everyone came to the 711 'cause it was the only place open.

Tree Planting has been my source of income for the past 10 years with the odd stint in a kitchen in the winter.

my first tax paying job was at mcD's when i was 15. wasn't to bad, got a free meal a day. pay sucked..

pray to god i never have to work there again..

I worked there for one year... at the beginning it sucked, but has I gained experience I told myself it wasn't that bad. The crew is super chill even though the job is a bit shitty. But I don't care since working there makes for good reference for future jobs.

yeah i worked there for two years in HS, saved up enough cash to get orignial 1080s, with the matching bindings and those green 1080 boots. I was styyyyling haha. Your arms do get burnt haha, but if you just relax and dont let dumbass stuff get to your head its not so bad.

and it helps to steal packages of hotcakes, cause those things are swell.

I talked to a recruiter once at University of Miami who said that he respected high school Mcdonalds workers the most because of the shit they have to put up with: rough schedule, low pay, lots of distractions, dealing with friends as customers, people thinking mcdonalds is for retards, etc.

warren miller had a quote about this in one of his books, i think. it was something to the tune of, "our grandparents had a word for flipping burgers. they called it 'opportunity.'"

I mean if you go to college and get a degree, spending all that time/money, I would want a job that I went to college for.

Now I would consider it if I needed a job while looking for another job, but I would no means get a degree and be stoked working at McDs.

I worked at McD's for about 6 years. I'm sure i can remember lots of crazy stuff if anyone is interested.

It is a crappy job but a job is a job. 99% of the people who made fun of me for working there were classic unemployed and spoiled kids.

when i was 15 i did a year at taco johns, working fast food is easy but it really sucks. all my coworkers were mellow (minus the meth/crack heads) the job just went so slow and youre always doing the dumbest shit. dishwashing is a close second on the shitty job scale though

a job is a job, but in all honesty if i had to go to fast food i would probably deliver jimmy johns you get to bike alot and deliver food.

With all that being said it is not a very good company to invest it...there stock is not much and had not done shit.

i work for a brokerage and one of our clients is this dead beat part time security guard in his 50s, still living with his mom. He started working for mcdonalds in high school and did 25 years with the company (cooking burgers, not corporate). While there he bought mcd stock, received employee stock options, reinvested dividends etc.. Today he owns 29k shares worth $2.7 mil.

You are an idiot.. the stock has went from $13 to $91 in the last 10 years, before that it went from $1 to $13 while splitting 7 times............. a $2500 investment in the 70s would be worth over $5 mil today.
