Who else is super stoked for this fight? In my opinion it will be the first boxing match worth buying in 30 years. I want Pacquiao to win but I think that Mayweather is going to KO him in the 2nd or 3rd round. Tell me your thoughts and opinions/predictions.
 
I personally believe that they will punch each other until they realize that their differences don't matter and the fact that they both love punching will bring them closer than ever.

Match will end in marriage

I don't think that Mayweather has the knockout power to end it after two rounds.

I hope that Pacquiao wins; but I think that the money team will walk away with the W.

Yeah I really hate Mayweather, but the dude is so good. He's not even really interesting to watch but he's just so fucking good. I would love for Pac to win but I think he's just going to get picked apart.

It's literally a battle of beloved vs douchebag.

Mayweather is a self righteous asshole who does nothing but smacktalk and show off his bling and ferraris in Vegas while Pacquiao is a globally celebrated athlete and good-guy populist politician who's made his sport of choice one of the most celebrated in his home nation.

Floyd is fighting for the dollas. Manny's fighting as the pride of his nation.

Everyone who doesn't closely follow boxing enough to care about boxers styles or history wants Pacquiao to win...

Definitely the biggest fight since Iron Mike and Evander...
 
I feel like in reality, Mayweather is heavily favored, and the fight could end up not being that close.. However I'm rooting for Pacquiao, gotta love the underdog. I'd love to see Mayweather be taken down a notch, hate how cocky the dude is.. not to mention he does not deserve to be as wealthy as he is

Personally, I can't wait for the fight. I would love to see Manny kick Floyd's ass because he is such a cocky douche, but I can't deny that Floyd is a damn good boxer. The dude has only officially been knocked down once and that was really only because he was hit off balance and touched a knee. His defense is impeccable and he has hardly ever been hurt.

That being said, Manny is the attacker that can do some damage to Floyd if he plays his cards right. Manny will have to come in with his head on straight and a clear game plan. If he goes in attacking too hard, he'll open himself up to Floyd's counter punch and get laid out.

HBO's marketing is calling it the fight of our generation, which I think is a pretty true statement with the hype around it and the reputation of the two boxers. We'll have to see how it goes though before making that call.

May weather plays the heel because the heel can make more money and have more freedom. Floyd plays the heel really, really well.

Floyd is stupid wealthy because of his business skills and business savvy. His boxing made him rich, his business acumen made him stupid wealthy.

Pacman beat women and cheated on his wife countless times. When she finally tried to leave him, he found Christ and was born again.

Pacman was a big user of PEDs. Its common knowledge in the boxing community, though never proven... Kinda like Barry bonds.

Pacman has a good shot. He is a brawler and all it takes is 1 good punch and its over. Floyd is 38 and his reactions have slowed.

Floyd has a very good chin. He has been hit on the button a number of times and though buckled has never been knocked down.

Floyd should totally outclass pacman, similar to the canelo embarrassment, but pacman has that brawlers chance and can take risks due to Floyd's brittle hands and lack of power.

I can't wait for this fight!
 
I really hope this fight isn't marred by a pacman v Bradley I type decision. That would be a shame. Though, it could set up a megafight sequel! Haja

It seems I have to agree with the general consensus

I will be paying to watch this fight simply because I want to see Mayweather get his shit kicked in and anything with sweaty men out of their prime gets me hard

Yea, I'm planning on eating at a friends restaurant now, where we can watch it. Its pretty amazing how much money they make off of fights like these. Both Mayweather and Pacquio are going to be making over $100mill and Mayweather could make over $200mill. If this fight had happened 5 years ago he would have only made $20-50mill, paying that $750,000 fine was the best decision ever.
 
mayweather grew up and boxed right next to where i lived as a kid, so im rooting for him.. but in reality i think pacquiao will win, no one will be knocked down tho, just my thoughts
 
it cost $150 just to sit at a 6 person table in a bar at my hometown for this fight. Its insane.

My opinion: both of them are twats, but Floyd takes it to a whole new level. I want Pacquiao to win but I won't be annoyed in the slightest if he doesn't. All I want is a good fight.

Why was the poster made? Those are basic negotiating points that every fight has, and frankly pacquiao's team sucks at negotiating. Hell, a couple weeks ago they tried to backtrack on a previously negotiated point because they screwed up on it.

All that shows is a mental midget vs someone with enough business savvy to take full advantage.

Why do you think flyd is so rich? Cause he is always thinking how to sell himself and his fights. The dude has an unorthodox but genius marketing scheme. He is a businessman. Everyone seems to hate him, he has never had sponsors or endorsement deals, he's fought less than pacquiao, yet he has more than double the money. Meanwhile pacquiao is adored by the world, is arguably the most powerful man in his notoriously corrupt country, has many side businesses and still can't come close to the earning power of Floyd.

Neither fighter is an angel, neither fighter is a demon. Both chose there role and both act it well. Floyd and his team are simply the superior business people. And frankly, that's what the poster shows.

I know that Mayweather is going to win, seeing as the fact he's undefeated, but I don't like him as a person, seeing as that he's been to jail multiple times on account of domestic abuse, so I'd like to think that Pacquiao would win

I know jack shit about boxing, but I saw a training vid from recently of both mayweather and pacquiao, and holy fucking shit is pac fast. Mayweather looked good but pacquiao looked scary dangerous.

Like Californiagrown posted above, pacquiao is fighting for the pride of his country. Just telling by the two fighters and how they carry themselves, you can tell mayweather is in it for the publicity more than the glory and pacquiao truly wants to kick this dudes ass.

or dingo I should say, both of you guys made good posts. but just from observing all the hype around this, and coverage, even if both guys are shitheads, I like how manny is carrying himself for this fight. he comes off as more determined to win vs mayweather (who still might win) taking the promotional businessman route that he is used too. either way, this isn't just a fight, its probably one of the bigger sporting events to occur in a long while, I think. Boxing should make a huge comeback in the states, It was kind of a part of US history for a while.

the bar i work at paid around $900 CAD to show it, heart wants paqiuao to win but head says mayweather will dip his chin behind his shoulder, back off and jab occasionally and win on points
 
But this fight would of been so much better if Mayweather didn't avoid Pacquiao for the last 10 years.
