I've been to deux alpes but not hoff!?!?!? Which is best? I know deux alpes has the best of everything good park good terrain an crazy après ski but what about hoff? Good, the same, better???

Maryhofen, has one of the best parks in Europe (including a three kicker pro line, which very few parks have), has crazy austrian apres, has SNOWBOMBING, and it's absolutely massive as well, more terrain than you can shake a stick at.

It's also cheaper than duex alpes, so yeh....Mayrhofen.

Im spending the winter in L2A right now and its pretty sick but there are a couple downsides. Its all above the treeline so if its cloudy or snowing you cant really see anything up on the hill, The park is sick, but the park crew are pretty lazy and the kickers can get into pretty rough shape. Also, most people here seem more keen on getting smashed every night than skiing. Don't get me wrong, I love partying but it gets a little ridiculous here sometimes.

All that said, I'm having a sweet time and the terrain is pretty rad and we're getting a fair few pow days right now. Dunno about Mayerhofen, but I can't imagine its much cheaper than L2A, for a French resort its pretty cheap here.

Oh, and there is definitely an abundance of sausage in the bars and clubs here, more so than other places I've been.

All things considered though, this place is super fun!

Pints are €3.80 up the mountain in Mayrhofen to give you an idea of how cheap it is, it's decent quality beer as well. And because the town is down in the valley, prices are low because it's much easier to access.

Nice one boys! The hoff it is!!! Any recommendations for jobs an what times to buy the lift pass!? Don't fancy entering an arena full of sausage hahaha

If you are in Hoff. You have access to hintertux if you get the right card this makes for a long season and different options when weather changes. You can get a Zillerthal card with endles skiing.

Good terrain in 2 Alpes? That mountain is boring as hell. Mayrhofen has good terrain if they have the snow.

Val d'Isere's park looks good in the past few years, lots of good riding there. Or Verbier if you have the cash.

Mayrhofen is a sick place if the conditions are right and the park is class. Hinetrtux down the road is mind blowing too.

Only bad thing is that the locals are rude as fuck, have zero manners and stand next to you smoking like chimneys.

Not been to LDA.

go to mayrhofen dude, we don't really have much pow right now, but the park is all time!! also the jib pipe should be ready any day now

You probably acted like a dick if you got any attitude from locals, have had nothing but warm welcomes and general helpfulness.

The smoking is true Austrians love that shit and will engage in it where ever and when ever possible.

I did a season in 2 Alpes...it was fun, but I would have chosen somewhere different if I could do it a 2nd time around.

As you say, everyone just wants to get messed up drunk at night and never go skiing. I saw that town break a few good people. Also, it was so windy and cloudy when I was there so park skiing wasn’t as good as it could have been. And the laps for the slopestyle line were so slow because you had to take a main chair all the way up.

The park crew also didn’t change a SINGLE feature while I was there (5 months). That got boring fast.

I went to Mayrhofen a couple years later and it is incomparable. Definitely go to Mayrhofen if you have the chance! Dedicated chair for the park, awesome setup, good terrain, and a very fun town! (Especially during Snowbombing)
