Mayonnaise: Good or Evil

Mayonnaise is the greatest condiment EVER

It has so many uses, it is untrue:

On Sandwiches (some sandwiches, i.e. BLT and Club, may NEVER be eaten without it)

Potato Salad

Coleslaw

As a dip for fries

As a base for tartar sauces

For cooling down spicy foods, especially North African foods, i.e. Kofta, Shish, Kebab

Name one other sauce that can do all those things.

Thats right, there isn't one.

i put mayonnaise on everything; it rules !!
mayonnaise mixed 50/50 with ketchup = epic win also !

mayonnaise is beyond disgusting. i absolutely can not stand it. the only time i will EVER tolerate it is on chicken salad, but if theres even a little too much ill just throw that shit away

^^that being said, there are different kinds of mayonnaise; i can't stand the one with mustard for example...even from just travelling very little around europe i've found that mayo is very very different depending on where you eat it; so maybe the american mayo just sucks when compared to the european mayo....
belgians put mayo on virtually everything; salad, fries, between hamburgers, sandwiches, etc....we use mayo as much as we use ketchup...

This. Its one of the best condiments to put on so many sandwiches, and is also one of the best dips for fries.

I'm legit going to bring some Hellman's Mayonnaise over with me, if you don't already have it over there.

It will change your life.

YYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!11111!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111EVELVEN111!11

First time I ever tasted mayo was on a McChicken Sandwich, I was like 'eurghhh it's got mayo on'. But I couldn't be bothered to scrape it off.

And my God, am I glad I didn't. The first bite of that sweet, yet tangy mayo, and I was hooked.

Fry Sauce.

CAnt have fry sauce without mayo.

And mayo is good on sandwiches, and burgers, but i usually just put fry sauce on my burgers.

Ya a tuna sandwich i have them all the time. tuna is to dry on a sandwich without mayo, i also just make a bowl of it sometimes and put it on saltines=delicious

I hate mayonnaise. But for some reason a thin layer on the top bun of my hamburger is just delicious. It's the only way I use it.

my cousin offered me $40 bucks to finish one of those huge jars of mayonnaise with just a spoon, $20 to attempt it. i threw up after about 11 or 12 spoonfulls. It was fucking gross, and now i can't eat mayonnaise at all, but i'm $20 richer. I didn't really like mayonnaise before this inccident anyways.

next time you grill a fat, dripping juicy burger, toast up the buns just a little on the grill and then use just a bit of mayo (real mayo, no miracle whip) and cracked pepper on the bun. resist the urge to slather on barbeque or ketchup or whatever. seriously, it is lifechanging. the way the mayo mixes with the juice from the patty creates the ultimate sauce, and the little bit of pepper perefcts it. its the only way we eat hamburgers now. i saw it on good eats, and we all (should) know alton brown would never give a bad recipe
Now do it, seriously

yeah mayo and ketchup is the best combo on chicken sandwich hamburgers fries you can never go wrong with some mayo and ketchup

I think its more american, i could be wrong though. Some Guys Fry sauce is made and started in utah as a small business.

Um, I like a little mayo on my sandwiches.

I do have a friend though that if we go to like Subway or something he gets it practically covered in mayo. Like, they use those squirt bottles and he gets like 1/4 to 1/3 of the bottle put on his sandwich.
