The storage specialist will initially offer a removable system based on 300GB media and capable of transfering data at a rate of 20MBps, Maxell said. However, the company said the technology, designed by InPhase Technologies, is capable of achieving 1.6TB per disk - and that's uncompressed capacity - with a 120MBps bandwidth.

this is pretty much the new Zip Disk. and if Maxell doesnt handle this the right way. it will go the way of the zip disk

think of the games they could put out with that kind of storage on a disk

Is that the stuff using the new perpendicular technology? I think it might be, but I'm too lazy to research...

Either way, I'm perfectly happy with 80gb on my PC, 40gb on my laptop, and 1gb on my palm pilot. I don't need more than that.
