Here's my take on things.
Space travel/living in space/on other planets is not a rapid enough process to outgrow religion. It's not like there is going to be a revolutionary idea, and suddenly life becomes like star trek. We're slowly going to branch out into space, and with us will come religion. The only way religion will not migrate into space is if religion gets forgotten about on earth. All of this is assuming the human race survives long enough to get away from earth.
