Matt Walker calls out Shaun White for ditching slope

It honestly really pisses me off that he did this. He took a spot that another hard-working athlete deserves because hes a giant pussy. Oh, and he also claimed that doing two events was "too much" Hey Shaun, Torah Bright is doing Pipe, Slope AND border cross. Make a target commercial about that. Bitch.
 
I believe an alternate will take his place or at least I hope, bitch complains about how he wants to focus on just pipe. Look at Gus at X games and yes torah bright
 
I know this is going to be WILDLY popular but who the fuck cares if Shaun White ditches slope? It's his last Olympics. The slope course IS really high risk and he's 27 which is pretty much ancient in this sport. I wouldn't be willing to risk not competing in the event that everybody expects to see me in, in favor of the event that basically nobody outside of our niche cares about. He wants to be able to put everything he's got into the pipe competition so that he can go out on top of the event that everybody is going to remember him for. Who can blame him for that? Who are any of you to judge him for that from behind your fucking computer screens. He has achieved a level of success that none of us will ever come close to. Just take a look at yourself and try to discern if you really think that he's a pussy for backing out or if you just want another reason to hate the guy that you're totally jealous of.
 
The schedule of events has been out for a long time. It's not like he figured out yesterday that slope would be before pipe. If he needed to concentrate on pipe so much, he shouldn't have entered slope to begin with, or he should have stepped down from slope a month ago. No one would have cared a month ago. A replacement would have easily been found and people would have been respectful of his decision. In this case, his decision pretty much prevents a replacement for his spot in slope.

His quotes and his timing show that he made this decision after seeing that the jumps are too big for him and that he is afraid of being injured more. I understand it's a calculated risk and he is trying to do the best he can to be healthy for pipe, but fuck, this is the olympics. The point of the olympics is to represent your country. In his case the olympics are just a method to get gold medals for himself and raise his Stride gum stock. How many ski racers involved in multiple events back out at the last minute (taking a spot from the team), because they are afraid of getting hurt in earlier events?

Fuck at the very least, he could have just done easy stylie-as-fuck runs for slopestyle. He would continue to represent his country, but at the same time show snowboarding in a different light. Everyone would still pay attention to his runs, even if they weren't insane but did some cool stylish creative shit.

tldr: shaun white is a prick. zaxbys is the best fast food anywhere(except for cane's)
 
He ditched slope the day before the event started making it impossible for the US to find an alternate for him. He's a piece of shit that deserves all the hate he's getting.

 
hahaha this is awesome. But didn't shawn do this before at the X-games or something? It seems like if he doesn't feel like he's going to win, he just quits, apparently it doesn't matter what event either.
