MATH WIZZES!!! Does your GPA stay the same if you keep getting the same grade?

My roommates and I are arguing over whether getting the same letter grade as your current GPA keeps your GPA exactly the same, or does it go down. In the past at some point, can't really remember, someone I thought was smart definitely told me that if you keep getting Bs for instance, your grade will slowly go down. Is this true, can someone explain?

GPA will stay the same unless the level of course your taking goes down. Then your SCALED gpa will go down.

lol bro, what you're saying is that these are your grades: B, B, B, B, B, B, B. Does that mean my GPA is 1?

lol that makes no fuckin sense

however, lets say you have A, B, B, B. if you keep getting B, then ya your gpa is gonna keep lowering towards B

say your gpa is a 3.5 from getting A's and B's and then you have a semester where you get straight B's, then yeah your gpa is going to lower.

no if you get the exact same grades one semester and then the next your gpa stays the same. like if you get aaaabbbb and then aaaabbbb then your gpa will stay the same

if you're in a triple i feel like you are the third wheel based on the topic you have brought to us

I'm pretty sure it's a sine function, so just make sure to graduate when it is at a peak!

incase you still don't know: your gpa will only change if your grades changes, if you got an A average first term, but got B+ for the remaining 3 1/2 years then your gpa would be B+, averages

-If your GPA is a 4 and you keep getting A's (this example is really unlikely) than you'll keep your 4.0

-If you have a 2 and you keep getting C's then your GPA will stay the same.

-If you have a GPA of say 2.36 and you get all C's, then your GPA will go down.

But my guess is you're entering middle school so you don't have to worry about this for a while.
