okay, i need to know how to solve this augmented matrix

i copied it off a test and fortunately i can finish it tommorow so any help would be greatly appreciated.

1 1 -2 4

2 1 2 0

1 -3 -4 -2

First one on the lift, last one off.

i took algebra two last year and ithough matrix's were mad easy but i don't remember learning that. can't you just plug it into a calculator?

you can't use cramer's rule on this

i just need to know the steps, there should be about 6-7

god dammit i forget how to do them, i know you have to cover up the first row and the first column and that makes a small matrice, then youu cover up the first rown and second column and then first row and third column and make the 2x2 matrices out of the remaining numbers. Then you multiply the 3 2x2 matrices or some shit

just make each line have a 1 and the answer by changing each line then adding or subtracting to the other... that didnt help at all

end:

1 0 0 answer for x

0 1 0 answer for y

0 0 1 answer for z

im not crazy 'cause i take the right pills everyday

yeah i did this sophmore year, but dont you have a graphing calc, because i know that can solve most problems with matrices

How exactly does the question go? i took algebra 2 freshmen year so i don't remember everything exactly but if there is anything else to the problem please post it...

Your not drunk if you can lie on the floor without holding on

Cleavage(n.): Something that can be looked down on and approved of at the same time.

I dunno if this helps at all, but i put it into an equation form so it would look like this:

x + y - 2z = 4

2x + y - 2z = 0

x - 3y - 4z = -2

Dunno if that helps, but like i said i haven't taken algebra 2 since freshmen year, 2 years ago.

Put the matrix in reduced echelon form. Then get back to me with what you have and I'll tell you how to solve it from there.

oh the things people do when they procrastinate:

1 1 -2 4

2 1 2 0

1 -3 -4 -2

1 1 -2 4

0 -1 6 -8

0 -4 -2 -6

1 0 4 -4

0 1 -6 8

0 0 1 13/11

1 0 0 -4-52/11

0 1 0 8+78/11

0 0 1 13/11

so x1 = -4 - 52/11

x2 = 8 + 78/11

x3 = 13/11

It's very possible that I made some adding errors. I think it's right though.

That shit is mad easy.. just use the pivot method.. Is that how u guyz lernt to do these questions? cuz pivoting is so easy to solve them

just enter them into the matrices (2nd x-1)

and then have the calc do it

Are you feelin me? I'm on a killin spree.

There's nothing to lose when noone knows your name.

im in ALG2 also, but my teacher skipped all that matrices shit because she said it was too hard.

depending on my mood, you might get a nice thoughtful responce that might make sense, or you might get complete jibberish that is not wise to even read. good luck

in anceint times, people tied up a goat in the the town square and blamed it for all their problems. then they killed it, and thats where we get scapegoat from

take the last 2 rows put them next to the other 3, then just use cramer's rule, go down acros one way then the other way.......
