Massachusetts legalizes recreational marijuana

Title says it all folks. with a 54:46 voting ratio, marijuana will be legal to those 21 years or older. This is good news! I guess dispensaries are expected to open by january 1, 2018. People will also be able to own their own plants, im sure there will be a limit like we've seen before. Anyone in the mass area excited for this? It should be cool to see a new crowd of growers take off.

Yeah it's dope! My whole family is from the south shore and when i go down and visit I feel like much of that area is pretty conservative at least against marijuana. A lot of "high class" people. I have actually gotten yelled at by neighbors when smoking near the street at midnight because they could smell it. So Im curious to see how it affects the state. It's funny too because Mass is also raising the legal age to buy tobacco to 21!

im so stoked. next semester its gonna be fuuuuckin legalll mannnnnnnnnn

How is trump going to push back the movement? The voting happens within the states. And as more and more states continue to decriminalize it will be out of his control.

so hyped for this too man! been at school in CO (just for the weed, obviously), and now when i return home next year it'll be legal.

i believe the plant limit is 6 plants per adult per household, which is awesome. so much pot. curious about how the effect on prisons is gonna shape up. i'm not sure how many people are locked up for weed related charges in MA right now since it's been decriminalized since 2008 anyways.
