SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Police say a woman who accidentally backed

her car off the fourth floor of a Springfield parking garage escaped

serious injury.

Police say on Monday the woman accidentally put her car in reverse,

then crashed through a metal barrier and out of the Dwight Street

garage.



The car landed on its roof on the pavement below, but police say the

driver was treated for non-life threatening injuries at a local

hospital. They say she was wearing a seat belt.



Police didn't identify the driver, except to say she was in her mid-20s.

well you see as the car backed out the rear tires lost the support of the garage floor before the front tires. This meant that while the force on the car downward was located at the center of mass the force upward on the car was not, giving it an angular momentum causing it to rotate.
