Has anyone here herd about the Pent house Rasta Schak at Mary Jane? I have looked all over that mountain for like four years now and no luck. I am starting to wonder if it really exhists. ANy wyas I have been told it is on a clif band by Mushroom Patch like half way down, you have to climb a ladder to get into it (hense Pent House). Anyone know what I am talking about?

ah fuck it, ill tell all you's guys! yes, it is the place where everyone goes to get high... it is built in the side of a cliff on sunny side at mary jane. so it sounds like you know where the mushroom patch is. you know the little path that you go on to to get to the mushroom patch, the one where you have to walk a little cuz its uphill, its right off of roundhouse (i think thats the name of the run). well about 50ft further down the run, past that little path you will probably find more tracks cutting into the trees, if you follow some of those you will most likely come to the base of the cliff. if they dont lead to the cliff you need to go into the trees a little and you should start cutting down and to the left (all while in the trees) and you should find the base of this big cliff-like rock formation. once there take your skis off and walk up to it, if you are facing the rocks (uphill) the ladder is on the left hand side, its made out of wood so it will stand out pretty easily against the rock. you climb the ladder to a landing type thing, turn around and there is a second ladder (shorter than the first) go up that and you will be in the hut. its cool, it has a roof made out of this green aluminum sideing and there is this bench like thing. and it looks out over part of sunny side. if you can find it i suggest you take your time climbing the ladders b/c they can be really freaky, especially in ski boots. thats all , i hope it helps. i know its hard to tell you how to get there unless i physically show you, sorry if it doesnt work. i also know about another hut up in the trees by parsenn bowl. i could tell how to get there too but im all typed out, maybe later.

I love finding these things.....I found one at Whiteface in NY, that had a journal and pen in it in a steel box...asking for each person who was there to sigh and date it. The last one was 1992, thats 12 fucking years ago!!! It was this sick rock A-frame. I dont think I could ever find if again if I tried.

theres huts like that at breck. i had no idea there was shit like that, then i was riding there with my brother last year and he took me to a bunch of them. i thought it was sweet. that one sounds awesome though, what with the location and all.
