Hey, just wondering who here rides Martock. I'm new to park skiing, and just thought I'd find out who rides there. maybe I'll see one of you down there sometime this winter. Anyhow, just say what you feel like, about yourself, the hill, etc.
 
yah bro, im riding there this winter for the first time, i have a crew thats goin up too. are you around here xmas break?
 
yep, but i dont get my skis til xmas day, then ill have bindings put on at martock, unless sportchek has someone who can do it porperly. i dont usually trucst them, but they might since theyre in the city. then i can try to ski the park :P. im gonna build a mini one in my backyard though. i have a rail my step brother used for skate boarding, and my backyard is a hill...

haha, gnartock. good one! too bad there isnt much gnar there, and it doesnt seem to be too gnarly...
 
also check out aerobics first for a place to get your skis mounted, im new to hali but i know a1 looks like a pretty legit ski and board shop so they may be good at it. wish martock had more gnar haha
 
Well, I got my skis:

K2 Disorderly 179cm, Marker 11 bindings, K2 Edge helmet, Scott Motive Goggles, Salomon Mission X4 boots, and Scott S2 Triton Poles.

I'm pumped and ready to ride!

Funny thing is, My skis and stuff match my bike (2008 Norco 125). ive got the whole white and lime green thing going on. pics soon!
 
Yo, i'll be shreddin' at martock too, not the best for freeskiers, but whatever. shred whatcha got, right? should be fun times.

the opening is this saturday too hopefully, i'm pumped to get on the skis.
 
im deff amped to get on some skis too.......i hope it opens on saturday! at least we just got a lil bit of snow so they have something to make some snow on top of lol
 
jeaaa i'll be there, look for the tool in the green helly hansen coat lmao. anyone know if they are gonna have any rails set up at all this weekend?
 
dude, first weekend at martock, you might see a flat bar and a box, if you are really lucky./ Martock won't open this weekend, it's way too warm to make snow and theres no way they have enough down already. Martocks close but wentworth has bigger jumps and more fun features.
 
ill be there too starting in jan. ill be the one wearing a blue/brown jacket and riding surface LL2's. (the most un eastcoast ski ever)
 
i'm just hoping it'll open soon... goddamn rain had to start coming down. i'll be riding the columbia white jacket, red phunked up burton pants, and white helmet/brown goggles and plaid strap.
 
I hope to get there near its opening date. if you happen to be there when i am, ill be wearing a white quick silver jacket and some plain old columbia grey pants. k2 disorderly's. i only wear a helmet for park. but its black, i have white scott goggles with green stripes on one side. i might be wearing a skull candy bandana, and ill be getting a new hat...

btw, heres the link to martock webcam http://martock.com/webcam.php theyve been putting down as much snow as possible, ive been following it. thats quite an improvement from last time i saw it.
 
this is my frist winter too hopefully its good but that webcam of martock makes me think otherwise, they have no snow so doesnt look like it wil be open soon. but ya ill be going up alot hopefully with a few other guys. i have a lime green n white thing goin on its preety obvious who i am
 
I'll spend a few days schralpin glorious martorious over the next week or so. Can anyone tell me if they have any sweet grind bars or air ramps set up for our jibbing needs? Is the bagel sandwich still $2.75 and are bottles of moose still $4?
 
They've gotta open the real park soon!! Skiing Expressway only gets boring after two or three runs haha, anyone know when others will be open? And the T-Bar??
