Martock opening?

they will probley open when number one we get frost, nuimber two the long range doesnt show shit loads of wet warm weather. so that could mean a ski hill open in 10 days or 2 months, who knows with our province of joy

yep, no point to blow snow till the ground is frozen up, cause they'll regret it in the spring when the base turns to shit, i give it 3 weeks, my bets on Dec18th....

 
i live close to martock and we get a lot of frost everynight but depending on the day it could bee 12 to -4 so it really is hard to call

 
not sure how they do it now, but with the past ownership, they used to blow a much higher concentration of water/air to form an icier crust that resisted melting more, then blew snow on top of that... but yeah, its going to take a few weeks before they have enough snow to even let the groomer out. Opening by xmas will be tight...

in other news, I skied at louise this weekend.. it rawked, they had the top of the world chair running. yup

 
martock wont be opening for a while yet... the weather channel calls for 14 and rina on the 12th.. but hey! its the weather channel.

 
Yeah...NEVER trust any long-range forecast from the weather network, the only somewhat dependable forecast can be found at weather.ec.gc.ca.

 
yah i give up looking at weather forcast, yesterday they were calling for sub-zero temps and flurries up to tuesday... its not like 7 degrees
