Marksmen for park?

My friends think it’s stupid that I use k2 marksmen with a 106 underfoot in the park. I keep telling him that there are so many wide park skis but he won’t shut up. That’s it just ranting

Fuck your friend. All my homies hate your friend.

But seriously, the marksmen are great skis. When I had I used them for everything and they were more fun in the park than a lot of skinnier skis.

Showed my friend this thread and said “That’s coming from the people that go and hit boxes and ride over the lips of the rails”

Yeah fuck that kid I bet he watches Fagan brother edits and enjoys them and wears Virtika.

You’re friend must be listening to his 40 year old parents who don’t know wtf they’re talking about or he hasnt watched a ski edit in 3 years because Ive barely seen any park skis in the past few years that are

lots of wide skis do fine in the park and there no worse feeling than the boys wanting to take a couple laps at the top of the hill when there is still snow around and you have on your 90 wide skis.

For anybody that knows rossignol s7s (not to be confused with soul 7s).... my all time favorite ski for anything at all ever to do with skiing and its 110 underfoot

most americans dont know the difference between 102mm and 106mm, so maybe thats the reason. calculating the fraction in inches in diff is not easy.

Im curious though, who is the better skier, you or your friend?

He’s better in the park but I’m better at just about every else

Guesssing hes skied more park, and you skied more in general, you should be able to catchup then, unless he is a trampoline spinning monkey.

That’s exactly what happened. I plan to just ski more park so I should catch up soon

Only negative thing is that you can’t change the foot when the edges get fucked. They turn weird or something when they are on the wrong foot

I'd say anything 112 and under should be fine for park, width of a park ski is generally based around preference...that's why there's a Magnus 102 and Vishnu Wide.

There are some legitimate reasons against riding Marksmans in the park, though, but not the ones your friends have. I think the main one is that since they are asymmetrical lengthwise, you can't swap em around if you fuck up the edges, or it will feel really weird to ride them on the wrong feet. Also they are a bit heavier than most dedicated park skis but who tf cares because I'm riding Surface Outsiders everywhere which are like 2.5kg per ski.

Fun skis though. If you enjoy riding them in the park then that's all that matters.

Just show him any Joona Kangas edit

That should do it.

He even has a good park segment in Halcyon Days (8:40)
