Marker Squire durability(+k for quality answers)

How durable are these things. and i only want response from people who have used them or don't say they're all plastic.

I haven't heard too many good things about them. There was a thread about them few weeks back about how they sucked. Basicely my logic with them is that if the Griffons had some problems, then the smaller/weaker squire is going to be a bad idea for a serious skier. Thats my 2c anyway.
 
I skied on them for about a week in Whistler. Liked them a lot, but I don't feel they will have the longevity of other bindings. Hope that helps!
 
havent ridden them, but after working on quite a few pairs they seem pretty cheap and dont seem like they are gonna last very long. but you get what you pay for. i personally wouldnt ride em
 
Well how heavy are you, how tall, and what type or level of skier. I weigh 110, a 5' 7" and a level 2 and they are awesome. I love them. I'm sure as you become more of a bigger person and aggressive skier they will break easier.
 
they don't weigh anything, i broke the brake once, but thats typical on any binding, they seem to pop out switch quicker than forwards which isnt good, but they seems pretty durable, i havent had a real problem yet
 
a little follow up. over the past month we've had 6 pairs of Marker FT12/ Squires come back for the toe pieces snapping off. In one case the guy had never ridden them, went to step into the binding and the toe piece cracked off. POS IMO
 
If your going to do any serious type of skiing go for FKS, Look bindings..... my buddy skied the squire and went of a small 10 foot drop into pow and landed a little back and broke the toe piece right in half...
 
Remember, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!

do not expect a $200 binding to be as durable as a $350-$400 binding.

for everyone saying "griffons are shit I only ski FKS" yes ok, there is more metal in a FKS. don't expect a $229 griffon to perform the same as a $339 FKS or pivot binding. get a jester for the same money.
