Marker Schizo HELP

I know this is in the wrong forum, but I need this problem fixed so I can ski tomorrow.
When I try to screw in the metal plate that connects the heal piece to the toe the screw that connects them wont go into the hole. There are no threads in the metal plate. The directions are just pictures and I'm going crazy here.

op- did you try google? also, is there a shop on your mountain that carries marker thats open tommorow before you go skiing? you could maybe ask them real nice to take a look-see.

yea google has nothing, marker can't talk about it for liability issues (but they can give horrible pikture directions) and good call
