Marker Jester Bindings

hate to sound like a total bitch but.

1. its a touring binding

2. its marker

3. this has been discussed.

opps sorry, the link went to the duke. so its just. 1. marker 2. been discussed. From the old thread most people were saying give it a year to see if its actually legit considering marker doesn't have a good freestyle reputation. so stick to your look/rossi.

the tow release is very simmilar to previous markers. thats not good. and there does not seem to be much holding the tow on. for a 16 din binding it seems preety week to me.

yeah, thats what I thought to at first, but when you see it in person it still seems to have the same arm system as prevous markers. there for the tow piece does not rotate with the boot like in the look, rossi model, If you can imagine on the look system as the boot moves in any direction the conection stay simmilar, it is like the boot is a ball and the binding is a socket, it just flows through the release, and the boot can come back in from a release at anytime untill it is all the way out. On the marker system there are 3 places of contact the front and each side (also the top but not relevent right now) the sides move independently from eachother and the front contact point. so as you release your boot is sliding along the binding not with it, The result is not as smoth of a release and no chance of recovery hence pre release.  it would be much easyer to explain with a binding in hand.

but my overall complaint with them is that for a 16 din binding they are about 90% plastic, the only metal in the tow is a pin, and well if your ride in double didgits your going to need more metal.
