Marker bindings; good or bad

Only had one pair of markers before and they were shit. Not sure if the rest are like that though. I hear griffons are good?

I don't know, i had one pair of shizno griffins and they were shit. but i was looking at the new jester pro and jester, i may be mistaken, but they look better

If you are looking at the jester pro, and actually need an 18 din binding, don't even think about anything but the p 18 /fks 180. Yes the jester will be lighter but the solid aluminum of the pivot/fks is as bomber as it gets. That binding will last you 20 years.

I would say there is much more option, I would take a sth16 steel over a p18 any day. Standard sth 16's and high end peaks are also equally good

Jesters are pretty bullet proof, also very light I've had a pair for 6 years that have been on 3 different skis

I would say its not totally true. the binding its self is pretty bombproof but the brakes let it down. Rossi really need to update the design in that area. p18 should be an option but there are arguably even better options out there. But not many people actually need that sort of binding. Most people will never need more then a 12 din binding.

Yeah, i need a metal binding, and i compete in big mountain, and i set my dins on 15, so i need a strong binding. I was looking at the seth 16 also, but i think I'm gonna get some pivots or rossis

Ok well yeah at that point you can certainly be considering the p18 but also look at the sth 16 and the sth 16 steel. Honestly the sth 16 will be more then enough im sure. The only salomon sponsored athletes on the steel are Cody Townsend and Seth and Mike Riddle the rest use the standard 16.

I've been on griffons when the toe piece exploded just going down the mountain (not in the park, they never went in the park)...that was exciting. I've also see far too many Giffons and Jesters with snapped heelpieces...don't know about the Jester Pros, but I'm not really willing to give them a shot.
