skiers dont do em. did you know that? they do not do them. amazing? yes.

so i think we should start.. get creative and link stuff togeter with 'manuals'. i prefur the name 'sassy slides'.

how about a manual where the skis is going down a hill, turns 90, ballances on the tip of one of his skis for a bit, and jumps out switch? wouldnt that be delightful?

 
wouldnt a manual just be like lifting your tips up and sliding on the back half of your skis? sterbenz does one on a box at whistler in strike three.

anyways, those are the gay manuals. you know how snowboarders have 'butterslides'? i say we get creative like that. switch 1 tipped manuals. stuff like that. 1 tailed manuals turned 90 degrees.

you need to do nose manuals switch, or your tips will dig in. ive tried them but they are hard as fuck.

I do manuals and 'nose' manuals all the time on my skis, and even make people do em for balance drill.

its funny to try to turn doing a nose manual, and too much fun going full speed passing someone with your tips in the air.

 
i can manual nos and tails, as well as ollie when i'm on my skis on a carpet, but when i am on snow i just move around too much to do it.

especially nose manuals. just a random thought- isnt it funny when steele spence trys to walk up the stairs on his skis in strike three in his interview. they look like they are ready to snap in half.

fuck regular tail and tip manuals with both skis. im talking 1 footed tail manuals, and 1 footed nose manuals, that would be awsome. and a 1 footed tip manual turned 90, so youd be sliding on the tip of one of your skis sideways, balancing down a hill.

i didnt just mean this thread, i ment the other ones where he gets people to have longer skis. and there are varations of 360s. If this thread was about doing 360 mute grabs i would have said the exact same thing.... oh and being ignorent doesnt get you anywhere in life

there called tail and nose presses . also u can do crooked tail press whisch is like a tail press but your skis are like at a 60 degre angle think crooked grind on a skatie but with 2 skis

I was doing a nose manual and my ultra crappy 5 year old bindings released and i hit my face on my skis

tail and nose presses are ways of sliding on rails, not sliding on snow.

k2 has a jib specific proto ski that 'might' come out next year where the tail once pressed enough stays in that position so you can tail butter better

I learned to do manuals for like 30 feet and oli outa the manual onto a rail. they are cool, cus you are in the air, and all back seet, and ass you come onto the rail you start to come more forwards, till you are right on it and you land solid on the rail. I was doing them in the whistler park a bunch in the spring.

im guessing they just lean back really far. and like bike manuals, you can tell when your goign to go over and they can be controlled not to go over.
