Mammoth Ski Instructor Info?

Hey all,

Haven't been on here in quite some time, but I was wondering what the odds of me getting hired as a 3-6 year, non-certified ski instructor are this season. I just applied last week and am trying to get an estimate of what I should expect. I live in California and just graduated from college, and I'm also available the entire season which I hear makes a big difference. Any info on employment (besides what is offered on their website) would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Most resorts will hire just about anyone as an instructor. However with some of the larger resorts, such as Squaw, they only look for certified instructors. Best find out what Mammoths requirements are.

I'm a recent college grad.

So you're saying that they'll hire people as a regular instructor (not just children) even if you aren't certified?

Email Craig Albright at calbright@mammoth-mtn.com. He is the director of the ski school. Better hurry though.

This. Also call the hiring department (there should be a number for it on the confirmation email that they sent you after you applied) and tell them you recently applied and would like more info about the position, etc. They like people that show more interest than just submitting an application. Like tandan said, Hurry, I am looking out my office window at main lodge and the snow is coming now thick

Mr Armada tee, right? Things are good, I am really enjoying my job. I started amonth earlier than expected. What are you going to be doing this year, I know you told me, but the beer and vodka drink from the party have made my mind a little hazy. ha
