Mammoth Rentals?

So me and my dad are going to Mammoth over April break, and he'd highly prefer to rent skis there instead of bringing our own. Basically what I'm wondering is the only skis that are going to be there are 5 year old carving skis? Or am I actually going to be able to rent skis that I can go ski park with.

+K for helpful responses.

I would say just bring your own skis man. IMO paying $50 bucks or whatever your flight charges extra to bring your own sticks that you are comfortable with is worth it, plus any rentals worth getting are going to cost quite a bit anyway most likely.

*Disclaimer* I have not been to mammoth though so I don't know what its like getting rentals there, just basing that on what I have seen at most resorts I have been too.

p3 in mammoth has demos that you can use that are usually the current years park ski or last years park ski, this is how its been in years past i dont know if they still do it

You can demo skis here, just like anywhere else, but i'm sure they don't like it when you hit rails on them. P3 is one of the better options but almost every shop in town demos park or powder skis. Still way more expensive than just flying with your skis.
