Mammoth Opening this Weekend

Who's going to be there? I can't wait, hopefully the snow storm follows through and we get some freshies. And they are also having two bands playing on Saturday Black Lips and Ra Ra Riot, don't know too much about either but should be fun.
 
I will be riding everyday but Saturday. The concert is too expensive for me right now, so I will be house partying.
 
Going up Thursday night for a 3 day weekend. The concert every year for opening weekend is typical of most of talent they manage to bring up there throughout the season: decent mid-major acts but nothing thats going to make you jump up and down for joy. Last year it was The Sounds, who aren't terrible but not worth the $25 for a concert inside Canyon Lodge. Usually just pregaming and hitting the bars end up being a way better time
 
The Sounds were able to draw thousands to the US Surf Open and sell out shows for way more than $25...
Aside from that, Ra Ra Riot is significantly smaller than The Sounds.
That being said, they have only sold 12 tickets as of 2pm today.... meaning the concert will likely be free. Don't buy a ticket.
 
I work for the mountain and I'll be working on the new RFID gates tomorrow. Can't ski :( Maybe sat or sunday.
 
Yeah I found that out. Turned out not to matter anyway, worked all weekend. Next day off will be Sat. $$$
 
That nice that you are working. I am still working only a day or two a week until McCoy Station opens. At least I am getting to ski everyday.
 
Great opening weekend IMO. The park had a lot of features and that bigger jump was quite fun. Really enjoying that they're starting to use more features in the park and I've heard that's one of the goals of the year to increase the amount of features in the parks. Bring on the snow! I remember last year at this weekend coming up it totally dumped.
 
Cool, I'm an instructor at canyon, hit me up if you ever wanna ski. Always looking for people to shred with.
 
I have met you a couple times: at the bandit photo shoot spring 10 and at Justin's dinner party last year. We should defiantly ride sometimes.
