mammoth is the best place to ski in the world if your into park in the leaste. Without mammoth there's no way I'd have done or learned any of the things I know now...plus its just fackin cool.

yeah, but no chicks and the ' village' is boring, they're supposed to be building one there, I saw it a couple weeks ago, should be up by the season. But it's amazing, just dont plan on hooking up with a chick and it's 3 hours from the closest airport without snow on the road, and there is nothing near it to do, just ski. Which is cool, cuz skiing kicks ass.

me and my friend drove there this spring from west virginia which is farther than minnesota but we had free lift tickets and no excuses. But if you decided to go make sure to book yourself a room at the local hostel in mammoth lakes you can look it up on the internet its a really cool place to stay and its sooo cheap. Mammoth had some of the sickest terrain we saw throughout or whole road trip (we hit quite a few mountains on the way out west) my only complaint is the weather for the week we were there was really windy and icy and all the locals told me thats pretty normal but the last day we were there they were closing the left part of the mountain the same day it got hit with like a foot of fresh so we ventured into the closed off areas ( some lil cliffs n shit) and we saw an avalanche it was really fucking cool. the snow was nice only for the last day and the park was pretty sick (I thought copper mountains park was just as good) but if your asking is it worth the drive in short, Yes.

mammoth is the shit. where else can you sess rails first week in october and get 2 foot freshies down a 60 degree chute on the 5th of May, then charge a sick ass pipe all the way through june

mammoth's pretty tight, except if there's powder you better know your way around cause it got tracked out pretty quick when i was there. and the park is fun until you fuck up and clear entire tables and break your headphones and wake up in the lodge.
