So my friend just snapped the cores on his K2 domains and has now gone back to his old k2 recoils

the recoils are some of the stiffer park skis k2 makes ompared to one of the domains which are super flexi

So he wants to know how to make his recoils flexi until he gets a new pair

they will get softer if he skis them and breaks them in. Get him to charge on them, then do alot of nose and tail manuals, and then once they feel a bit softer try a bunch of butters.

other than that you can hand flex them and that might soften them up, but skiing is still the best way to break the skis in.

He skied on them for a year and a half on them so they have broken in but I was wondering if there is anything we could do to soften them even more

sorry man im dumb aha i misread and didnt catch that they were his old skis.

yeah if they are already broken in, i dont know if there are any other ways to make the skis softer.

Get fat.

or

Get new skis.

About the only two options he really has. There is no way to artificially soften the skis, especially if they are already broken in.

maybe just not ride rails and try to hand flex them as much as possible. i say not to ride rails cause if your trying to break them in by the time they are broken in the edges will be bad or pretty worn

find a feature or something to jib where you can come over, pop your tips onto it, then pop back off. Theres a tire feature at my home mtn that I do this on like every run and it has made my skis significantly more buttery.
