Making helmets compatible with earphones

I want to start to listen to some music while skiing, and I have a giro S4 helmet. When I put my earphones on with the helmet, the earflaps of the helmet push the earphones in and it hurts.

So I was wondering if theres a way of just making the helmet work with the earphones I dont want to buy giro tune ups, cuz I dont have money and I dont think they work with the S4.

Thanks

Idk what to tell you man. I wouldn't recomend wearing a hat under your helmet. But what kind of head phones do you have now? I think ear buds would fit under the helmet's ear flaps nicely. And the flaps would help them stay in your ears. But if you can scrape together $30, definitely but tuneups. They work great, and are even a little warmer than the normal ear flaps. Thats what I bought with some xmas money.

I was thinking about doing that, but its a new helmet, so I dont know if I want to risk breaking it

I have like a thing that I wear inside my helmet on cold days, its like a thin toque kinda thing that covers my whole head with a big hole to see and I tried it without the earlfaps of my helmet with the earphones and it works well, but on cold or windy days it probably wouldnt be enough to keep my ears cold... I dont know

And also, is it safe to use a mp3 (creative zen micro) in the jacket without worrying about breaking it if I fall?

i have the 180 ear things too they work really good.. so just take off ur earflaps and they wont cause you any problems

^Maybe I can put some padding or something ... Cuz its my whole familys mp3 player ad they dont want me to break it

I love my tune-ups... but if it isn't compatible then look for a light beanie style cap. Helly Hansen makes this thin Lifa beanie-- it's like long underwear for your head. I have friends that wear them under helmets during the winter.

hi can someone with r.e.d tune ups tell me how good they are, for example how they differ from just wearing ear phones under them, like when there not on how good is hearing etc.
