Making a hoodie

Anyone know how to make a tall hoodie... Really tight on cash right now but want a tall hoodie (as i dont have one yet) and thought i might be able to make one... Any ideas?

my friend took a hoodie and cut it across the chest and back then sewed other fabric into it, kind of hard to explain on here but the layers went

original hoodie (hood, shouders, sleeves)

plaid fabric

middle section of original hoodie

plaid fabric

pocket and bottom of original hoodie

essentially its cutting the original into 3 pieces and adding "extensions" of another fabric or sweatshirt, looked dope as fuck though!
