Making a Backyard Feature

Two years ago I dismantled my neighbors play-set for cash and I ended up keeping a few pieces because I thought that the wood could maybe be used to make a rail for skiing. Turned out that plan failed miserably and I have skied on this piece of wood for two years and it is great for a variety of tricks for backyard skiing. I was curious what type of plastic sheeting I should throw over it to make it feel more like a box on my skis. Thanks.
 
You could get a bunch of skinny PVC tubing and lay them side by side on the board, and then screw them in.
