Makeup?

Y’all. Anybody else struggle to find a makeup that doesn’t rub off during ski season?

What’s the best brand to use?

I do realize that it would be easier to just not wear any, but in all honesty I think makeup is kinda fun... not to mention when you put your goggles up and people are like crap that’s a girl?

Setting spray or a primer works well for me. All nighter from urban decay for setting spray or Hydrogrip from Milk for primer.

depends on what kind of makeup you're trying to do. doing a liquid cat eye is impossible if you're skiing, but I tend to just do my brows and a touch of eyeshadow as liner. if it blends throughout the day, which it will with goggles, it's no big deal. i use the nudes palette by maybelline and it does the trick.

ALSO! a psa because it isn't said enough: wearing makeup while being on the mountain or in the backcountry is totally acceptable and fine. a swipe of mascara doesn't make you any less outdoorsy.

I have had good luck with gel eyeliner— MAC and ABH haven’t run for me. Stilla’s liquid eyeliner (the felt tip one?) doesn’t budge either.

I know ZERO about make up but I LOVE THIS SHIT

I went into Sephora with no clue what I was doing and asked for a tinted sunscreen and moisturizer and I found my skincare soulmate. My forehead/nose/jawline gets ridiculously dry in the winter, this helps immensely AND it’s spf 47. On top of all that, it smells reaaaaal good.

Only cons are that because of the Argan oil, it doesn’t really spread evenly. And it’s like $58 a bottle, but it lasted me six months because I don’t use makeup every day.

It’s more expensive but you can j get lash extensions too. I’ve done that on accident when skiing. Like for a wedding and then I went skiing. But lash tinting and extensions stay like a mf

I'm not much of a makeup person, but this widely available and inexpensive hair cream is GOSPEL for beautiful, healthy, effortlessly beachy ski waves. I squish a quarter-sized dallop into unbrushed wet hair after a ski day shower, and it gives me that "rainbows, sunshine, and fatty pow lines" look
