who's looking forward to Troll/Wild opening?

I'm stoked on wild opening! It's like $10 for a slightly more ratty setup and slightly less people. Drive me in your van with cat chewed seatbelts.

that $105 troll pass tho!! Makes those few events a year and preseason worth it

It won't be cold enough to make snow at Granite until like next winter. We should put all of the fat people in Australia so the northern hemisphere tilts further away from the sun.

Time to go deer/rabbit hunting for two weeks and maybe something will change.

I saw 73 degrees yesterday. I'm pretty sure winter is canceled. We all need to drive Prius's so we get winter back I think.

This is when it was really fun! Some may remember some may not have been old enough!

Last year I was feeling really really angsty about a late preseason. This year I'm a little bummed but not flustered. Didn't try hard in preseason rail jams. Am I in the early stages of wash-up disorder?

I mean at least you were at some pre-season jams. Too early to say washed up. Once the hills open up and you skip first few weekends - you may be showing symptoms

True, I was fully prepared to skip trollhaugen if they opened last weekend to help out with the highline on pallisade head. For me, a ridiculous 600ft long and 200ft high slackline is a little cooler than a bunch of rails on a bunny hill being lapped by hundreds of people. Luckily there wasn't a choice because it was 70 degrees. Only downside to the highline is having to explain to dozens of tourists that "No, this isn't a zipline. No, you can't 'try' it." Now I've got no excuses to not go to troll/wild preseason.

I remember Midwest Skier only for their events. I felt when I showed up on the scene their forums were already dying/dead

The events where big time. Everything went down hill once newschoolers, got big.

Diesel pickup trucks or something equally environmentally friendly

Mining inside the boundary waters, rolling coal trucks, all of North Dakota, sewage flow straight into Lake Superior. Irrelevance. I want to ski.

Lol I think I have severe wash up disorder, here are some symptoms:

Season passless, no desire to watch edits, annoyed of others who are hyped to ski, and strong tendency towards self preservation. Its a weird adjustment, definitely first year in my life I haven't gone ape over a late start to the season.

Forgot to write notes in class because I was thinking about how cool wallrides are. You're like doing a 50-50 on a box but like... sideways man.
