Alright, so i'm taking a super intensive art course at my highschool and im going down the fashion design road. i need someone to create me a label using my initials, J.L, that could easily be embroidered. Please help, i have a deadline for my first piece coming up and i love to have some sick insignia on it, thanks
i'll try to think up some reward but it shouldn't be that hard to do for those good at illustrator or programs like that

Maybe you should get out of your intense art program if you cant even think up/design your own label??... just sayin...

This.

If you can't do it digital, do it manual and draw something up. Also if you're doing a design program might want to think about investing in some software anyways?

A label, especially YOUR label is your identity. It's your business card, your agent, and your face. If you're not even willing to put in effort to design your OWN label, I don't think you belong in your program. And before you start whining saying I was only asking for advice/help etc., read your original post. You're asking someone else to design it for you, I would've "helped" you if you had done one of two things:

1) Paid me the appropriate design fee (and trust me it's not as cheap as you think) or,

2) At least uploaded a couple sketches of your own design and asked someone to vector that or turn it into a digital version.

I'm not "hating" or "being a dick", just trying to let you know that if this is how you're going to approach things you should save your money and go to school elsewhere.

Shits not free though man. It still takes time. If you asked someone to do your homework for you, would you not expect to have pay for it somehow? It doesn't really matter what the work is, its the principle. I'd be happy to help out also if there was some type of incentive, in fact, I already made a couple designs just because I was bored and wanted to get away from what I was doing for a sec.

I'd like to take the chance to leave this here though, pretty much sums up how I feel about people asking for shit for free:

Nice, reminded me of the freeskier logo/ northstar/ keystone logos... which is good cause its very different but fits the ski industry.

hahaha. didn't even think of that.
In that case.... bad.
In which case... jl = maybe not great initials to make a logo out of.

definately didnt think this through, its my designs, it should be my label. label's been created, by me and it looks good. defiantely agree with all you, and yes, i can handle this course and im not 13

ahaha. and while i agree its kinda bunk to ask someone to do your work, espec your logo, everyone should take note it is a highschool class, so its not like hes a design major in college.
