Make a twintip ski

is it possible to make a normal ski into a twintip ski. if anyones tryed it could u tell me how to do it.

ive been thinking about a torch. i have twintip skis but i have like 1975 rossis and i want to make um twintip for urban riding

boil the tip in a pot of water for like 20 minutes. then shove the tip underneath a door and pry it up.

The older Newschoolers.com gets, the more clueless its members become. This isn't new people... I'm pretty sure Jon started skiing on regular skis that he turned the tail up on. A lot of people have done it. And it works alright. sometimes the base bubbles if you use a torch, and delam in inevitable. so yeah, do like they said and rivet them.

theres some web site that i saw on here once that showed how to do it with like fiberglass and then u put like slits in the tails with a hack saw like 1/2 an inch apart to help it bend

i did it. i had some old rossi bandit B1s that had the crap beating out of them. i did it with a torch and it worked fine. the base is fine too. i held a torch back from it a bit for a while then put it uder a door and slowly bent it up. then i held it there and it worked great

thats what turpin did wayy back in the day when he had jsut started skiing a pair of blow-torched rentals is how he rolled.

yea, a torch works fine, just keep it away from the ski. i have a pair at home, so the next step is to try and build a twintip ski from scratch
