Major?

I’m majoring in accounting as of right now, but I’m absolutely fascinated by drugs, adaptogens, nootropics and how they mitigate/aggravate receptors in the brain.

I’m just trying to figure out what major would accompany this?

Probably a cross of Chemistry and Biology with some neuroscience thrown in.

Precisely what?

I graduated Chemistry (one subject only thanks to the shitty English system), I'm now PG using a mix of computer and lab work to study the structure of prion diseases, particularly CJD. I'm shit at explaining cos it's midnight haha, but that's basically a cross of chem, bio, CS and a bit of neuroscience thrown in.

I don't actually know precisely what I'm doing, term doesn't start for two weeks yet and my supervisor isn't great at contacting me. YAY ACADEMIA!!!!!!

Biochem, pharmacodynamics/kinetics, molecular bio. I have a pharmacodynamics class right now and we talk about drug/receptor interactions and pathways, chemistry of stuff. But I'm a grad student so the classes are probably much more specific than undergrad.

I've always been fascinated by drugs/plants and their effects on the human body. You could go into Botany and Biology and then research their effects.

Look up topics that you are interested in on google scholar. This will give you a whole bunch of scientific papers, you can then look up the background info on the authors and find out what school and department they are in. Should give you a good clue of what you want your major to be.

Fuck science, do philosophy and then you can do first-person phenomenology of narcotics, noogenics, hallucinogenics etc
