RIP to a man more badass than anyone on NS could ever imagine being.

Crazy to think that a man who survived almost all American involvement in Europe in WWII made it all the way to 2011.
 
apparently it happened on the 2nd but was deemed not newsworthy enough to mention until a small article just now.

fucking ridiculous if you ask me. Some stupid fucking celebrity gets fat and they talk about it on the news for 20 minutes. A man who actually gave something for the greater good of the world dies and no one cares.

guy was an icon and a real man from the time where you were only as good as the effort on your shoulders and the tread on your shoes. Now we have justin bieber...
 
thanks for bringing this to light, such a good series.

as was the pacific, what those men did will be eternally underrated. not many could do even some of what they did
