Majesty Vandal

I am very close to buying a pair of Majesty Vandals as a park and allmountain twintip.

Anyone got any experience with them?

I have two pairs of Majesty skis awaiting mounting, neither of which is the Vandal but visually the build quality/finish is very good if that means anything to you at all.

Thnx :)

I have the Lumberjack 19/20 which is fantastic!

Really like their skis. They feel so "woody"

Never heard of them till now. The dirty bear XL looks fun

I agree. They look awesome.

But they are way stiffer then I thought.

I thought be would be bacon-like. But no.

I snagged a pair of 2022 Vandal 181’s for ~$300. 6 days on them so far and they have been a lot of fun. Mounted with pivots at the recommended mounting point (If I had to guess it’s about -2cm from the true center). They came really sharp (like really really sharp), sharper than any other ski I have seen out of box. I was too lazy to do a -1 bevel so I just ran a gummy stone over the edges until they felt appropriate. They ski ok all around the mountain, but i would definitely prefer my Icelantics if i’m not gonna be in the park. The top sheet seems durable but I still managed to chunk a bit of the graphic off. They are super playful (overused term that tells you nothing about the ski) and the camber they have gives them a nice amount of pop that you can’t get on a rockered ski. I would really only choose them over a different park ski if you spend more time on jumps than rails

bleh bleh bleh

tldr: another soft ski that does everything mid in an over saturated market

I got a pair of Majesty Velvets for $200 on STP for a cheap tele setup, they ski well. The topsheets are not durable, I haven't used them enough to do any damage to the edges or bases though. They remind me of the build of a Nordica ski

I had a 2019 pair mounted true center and they're probably one of my favorite skis that I've ever had, a pretty soft and light ski in my opinion and the 130 tip and tail actually gave a decent amount of float in powder, but in my experience they were not super durable. I had top sheet chipping right away and I had managed to get about 3 core shots after only 1 season and several edge cracks underfoot from park. I had also somehow managed to blow out the edges in the tails of both skis, and I finally had to get rid of them after blowing a heel piece out (I do think that I am rather hard on my skis though for someone my height and weight at 5'9" 150lbs)

All in all though I am still thinking about buying a second pair just because of how fun they are, they do well in the park and they handle well as an all-mountain ski.

Thnx for the answers :)

Only thing to decide then is mounting point.

Ill be doing 30/70 allmountain and park, so I guess -2cm makes sense.

they are my favorite park skis ive ever had. they arent super soft but i can butter them okay, the swing weight is stupid low, personally i think they look super nice, and they arent crazy expensive. Ive skied 45 days on mine so far and i have hit rails every single day of that and my edges are intact (2 small cracks, not pulling out at all). The topsheet is not as fragile as like, chronics, or something, but its not the most durable. i have one chip in the topsheet at the tip of my ski that bugs me but thats about it. in reply to what that other guy said, they are pretty fun on jumps.

i have last years model not this years and im not sure if this years is much different but do not mount them -2. they are a symmetrical ski, meant to be mounted as such especially if u will ski 70% park.

Its the yellow version I have bought.

I meant 30% park btw. Should I still go true center?

I would mount them true center. Again, its a symmetrical ski. Mounting them back will make them ski worse for no reason
