Maing a photoblog; advise for name?

So I'm working on a blog. It's hosted on tumblr now, and I want to pick up a domain name.

The blog is named: alliwantismore

and that part isn't changing. However, I was going to go ahead and register alliwantismore.com, and it was taken. So what should i go for? .org? .net? .us? some crazy-ass foreign TLD?

Thanks so much guys. I'm really really into this project, and I want to nail it perfectly.

So for reference, here's the blog:

BUT WAIT: make sure you start this youtube vid first in a second window. I'm gonna embed this track on the page: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jscd9utzNHs

for reference, this is the blog: http://alliwantismore.tumblr.com/

if there is any part about this that you don't understand, ask me, or just ignore the thread. i know how it be. pce out, thanks ns.

First off, someone is only squatting on alliwantismore.com
So, next thing to do would be purchase the .net, check out the whois on the .com and hopefully it expires soon. If they don't renew, make sure to buy it then. You can also pick up the .co the rest don't pertain to what you want to do, so dont worry about the .org unless paying to keep it isn't an issue.
Next, DO NOT EMBED MUSIC! The mass majority of people will close your webpage or mute their computer instantly upon entering the page. You are trying to keep people, not drive them away.

Yeah I noticed that it was just a holder page. Some asshole who has a computer generating and registering phrases, although it's probably a decent money-maker.

You think .net is better than .org? Just from a stylistic standpoint, I think I like .org more, but then what do I know.

Also, embedding really that bad? That track is what inspired the project/guides my content...is it reasonable eough to put an embed player in and then have an obvious button saying "click play"?

thanks for your help!

Are you an organization? No. .net is what you want. As for the song, just say no. People will become extremely annoyed with you if they click your link and music starts playing, and exit immediately. Just think of someone opening it at work.
A blog is the most egotistical thing one can have. It literally screams "Look at me! Look at me!" Ask yourself if you really want to spend the time and money just to beat your own drum. Are you really such an interesting person that people will want to follow you? Would you be better served with a personal journal?

If someone says, my website is ilovetacos... and they leave off the end, first thing people do is check the .com and if that doesn't work, they check the .net
.orgs are meant to only be for non profit organizations. So unless you are about to sign up for a tax id # I'd stick with .net or .co
Embedding is that bad. Fight the urge.
If music is that important of a peace in your art, then it should be music you created. You should use flash to incorporate some sort of slideshow music thing. I hate flash... but in this case it is what you would do.
A very large percentage of people are listening to music when browsing the internet. You need to realize that those people expect only visuals when they go to a photography blog. You can add the, listen to this thing... but if you were my client, I would highly suggest against it and just add a foot note stating what song inspired the project and a link to purchase it on itunes.

@iFlip: yeah, I guess .net is where to go. and you do have a point about the "look at me" aspect. I'm keeping my name and face wayyyy far away from it though, and I sort of want it to stand on its own. But you are definitely right, and I'll be keeping that in mind. thanks.

@Rachy: .net it is. And I understand what you're saying about the music being of my own creation. But without giving away the underlying idea behind alliwantismore, I think it's worthwhile to add that one really important aspect is appropriating existing things, art and otherwise. But I'll lay off on the music for now at least, seeing as I don't have legal rights for it anyway. Thanks again for following up!

I agree with what everyone else has said so far. Don't autoplay the music. A lot of times I'm listening to music already when I go to a website, and if another song starts playing on top of that, its just plain annoying.

As for the .org or .net, if you can't get the .com I'd go for the .net

Why not just register .me? If you don't want to spend the $10 I'll give you a redirect on 365daysofsnow.com. You could be the first blog of many hosted on it.

Dear omIV,

Visual art is great. I'm happy that you've found photo-blogging as an outlet for your creativity. Maybe you even see it as a shelter from proper grammar and usage.

You don't get to abandon the English Language. "Advise" is a verb. "Advice" is a noun. One doesn't ask for "advise for name;" next time try "advice for a name."

Peace and love,
