i see a lot of guys who ride wets also ride with guys who ride these and they tend to have the same swerve style, but idk the difference between the two skis themselves. anyone ridden either/both?

Wets are a lot softer than the Magnus, as well as having a smaller waist. That being said I love the vishnus however the have less all mountain application than the Magnus’ as well. If you’re going to do any moguls or big mountain, the v’s are probably going to bounce you around a little, unless you get plus’ or wides.

I have 186 magnus 90s and 177wets and the wets are by far my favorite, they used to chatter on faster runs but now they are so broken in that they don't even make noise they just kinda absorb everything and you don't even know there are skis on your feet it's like there part of me now. The magnusus are so much more stiff I can't do a tail press and barely do a nose press and when I went for a shifty on the pond skim and tried to pop on the backs of my skiis they wouldn't let me and I almost ate crap.

That’s because your magnus are 186s and your wets are tiny. The magnus is way stiffer than the wets though.

so a magnus would be stiffer than the wet at the same size? are magnus’ still easy to butter because of all the rocker?

The rocker might make it easier on a smaller ski but mine are so long that I couldn't even get to the rocker for butters

on magnus or wets?

He's referring to his Magnus being so long he's having trouble reaching the rocker.

I answered because I feel the same with mine. Stiff long skis are tough to be playful with for lightweight smaller people or if they're too big. But boy do they charge. I feel invincible just ripping with them but try to do any trick it takes considerable effort. I'm pretty sure mine are too long and heavy for me but oh well. I have other skis now to fill the playful on small hill void.

It might just come to if you can afford to, having a different ski for the different type of skiing . I have the Magnus 90 and the Vishnu wet +. And plan to get the regular wet on the next sale so I have the whole range of stiffnesses of swerve skis ?
