Looking at the magnus skis right now and not sure which one to get. I ski Midwest parks mainly and looking to get into urban skiing. Thanks for the help!

I live out east and have experienced the worst ice days you could imagine and the 102 is fine, and it also gives you that extra stabillity that you are gonna want for riding such rockered skis

102 for sure I’ve rode those this whole season urban, pow jumps, park jumps, rails and they handle everything. Plus big skis look better

Hi fellow Minnesotan!

How tall / big are you?

If you still have alot of growing to do or are small, a 102 might be too much - just something to think about also

both are great skis, if you’re looking for a lighter ski get the 90s. I’ve got the 90s and i love them, but after riding jeffrey 108s i think 102s would also be sick.

get the 102 your really gonna appreciate the extra width on big landings and high speeds

the big skis are infinitely more stable and will probably carry more speed down jumps since that’s an issue at hyland

Just copped a pair of Mag 102s @ 186. I’m 6’3 210, mostly shred side hits, rails, buttering around and spending a lot of time skiing backwards. Definitely more of a playful skier but I still like to get inverted when I can. Don’t spend too much time trying to break speed records but am definitely cruising around in the 40mph range pretty frequently. Most of my days are spent at Alyeska, Alaska and Eldora/Steamboat when I’m in Colorado (Fuck I70 lol).

Coming off a pair of AR7s center mounted which I’d ski all mountain and had no real problems. I have a pow setup so I’m not planning on using these on deep days.

For those of you who’ve mounted at rec/center, what are your thoughts? How does spinning feel and what’s the switch performance like? How are switch takeoffs?

these things are so beautiful i hate the idea of taking them back to get remounted so I’m putting a lot of thought into the mount point (def overthinking tho)
