Noticed there wasnt a thread about this place, has anyone ever been? Do they even have a park? Ive only been in the summer

i went like 2 weekends ago after they got around 14 inches, they have some rails and stuff but it's not a "park", when i was there they had 2 boxes and a rail setup towards the bottom, they focus more on glade skiing but i think every once and a while they have a jump set up, i don't go too often but my neighbor has a condo place near there and used to have a season pass

went there a few years ago after an all time storm they got like 3 feet overnight. One of the best pow days i have ever had, beat some of the alltime days in utah even! nobody was skiing, good pitch, nice glade skiing and faceshots all day. Only downside is the lift was beaaaat, super slow and maybe only a 2 seater if i remember right? either way, a must visit after a storm, shits a gem!

What would you like to know?

I run the Machete Militia, which is the volunteer group that maintains all the tree skiing there and makes all the new stuff so I know my way around pretty good. It's a fuckin' rad place, the terrain is significantly more gnar than anything nearby and the management is so cool but its been tough getting them to add park features... But they're trying! They actually had a rail jam last weekend and turnout was good so they're starting to see it. Funds are always low though so it's hard for them to spend anything on features.

Look for big things from Magic in terms of tree skiing in the next few years though. BIG things :)

Magic is awesome, but if you go there you should be looking for the right thing: some sweet tree skiing. With enough fresh, it's one of the more fun places to be in southern VT, but if you're looking to lap a park, just go to Mt. Snow instead. Hope this helps.

looking for a rail if you're riding magic is worse than looking for a park at Jackson come on maaaan

Haha well I honestly don't ski park at all but I know others do and would love to set something up under the lights for the tubing park so they could jib 'till like 8.

Agreed though, park isn't really Magic's thing.

Only been to Magic a couple of times, but every time i've gone i've had a blast. Wasn't much of a park when I was there, but that's not really why you go to Magic, is it? Such a cool place

Haha oh man well come back sometime it's deep and we can further repress those traumas with a whole day of fresh turns.
